Hope Never Forsakes The Living
J.M. Skinner
There were two thieves (plural) crucified next to Jesus, one on the left and one on the right. Matthew records that both railed on Christ: “The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.” (27:44). But one thief had a change of heart. One thief caught a glimpse of the Real Jesus, the Savior. One thief hanging on a cross next to the Redeemer realized at the very end when all help had vanished, that hope was right by his side and that hope never forsakes the living!
Friend, if you have fallen into a dark place in your life or have lived in darkness all of your life, Jesus can illuminate the wonderful things in life and bring joy, peace, and hope to you. If you are reading or listening to this message, there is hope for your life. It does not matter how many times you have tried; how many times you have failed; how low you have fallen. There is still hope because you dwell among the living. Ecclesiastes 9:4: “For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” You are a candidate for the Grace of God and His Great Love. Hope has not forsaken you! You can have a new life, a better tomorrow, and anticipation of eternal life in His presence! He is just waiting for your call! “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
