Solar hot water system

This home features a self designed and self installed solar hot water system. The system heats and stores a substantially large amount of water (340 gallons) enabling the system to ride through prolonged cloudy days. Using the PV panels to directly power the two circulation pumps, eliminates the requirement for grid powered pumps, and eliminates the requirement for any kind of temperature controller. When the sun shines.... the pumps run.
