Commercial 2.4 kW Grid-Tied Solar System and 3.8 Skystream Wind Generator
Sturgis High School - Sturgis Michigan
In May of 2010, Home Energy LLC installed a 2.4 kW grid tied solar system and a 3.8 Skystream wind generator on a 70 Monopole tower (system design by the Farnsworth group) at Sturgis High School. The district had the goal of not only reducing energy costs but educating their students on renewable energy. This educational RE system was the first grid tied system in the Sturgis Electrical municipalities. The municipality is offering the school net metering on this project.
