Residential 5.0 kW Solar Grid-Tied System

After a leak in their pool proved to be very expensive to repair or replace, this couple decided to fill in the pool to create an expanded garden and patio area. That left the poolhouse standing with little purpose, unitl they decided to install solar PV panels on the roof. The rack holding the 5 kW system was built with room at the top for another row of panels to be added to the system. The system includes 2 rows of 12 Kyocera KD210 Watt solar panels and a Sunny Boy 6000US inverter inside the poolhouse.
The homeowner said that the environmental benefits of solar energy prompted him to install a 5 kilowatt solar electric system on his home, but he’s also excited at the prospect of reducing his – and the future homeowners of his house – bills.
