With rising costs for electricity and for heating this church-converted-to-home, built in 1890, this homeowner decided it was time to add a solar PV system. "The sun hasn’t raised its rates in 3 billion years,” he says. “It’s always free.” Utilizing governemnt grants and state tax rebates, they installed a 4.1 kW solar system, using flat, flexible panels by Uni-Solar that attach to the roof.
